Our Story
Welcome to Wayward Souls Collective, we're so glad you're here! Our names are Mitch & Emilee and this is our story.
There were a few moments in our lives that made us stop for a minute and realize that tomorrow is not guaranteed, but we would quickly push that aside and continue with our plan, ticking the hypothetical boxes as we moved through life. It wasn’t until the COVID pandemic hit and our lives were thrown upside down in an instant that we really took what all of those moments in the past were trying to teach us to heart. We realized that we were constantly waiting for the next thing, forgetting that our lives were happening now. Knowing that tomorrow was never guaranteed we wanted to be sure that we made the journey more exciting than the destination. It helped us realize that things never go to plan (no matter how much you plan, or how organized you are), but what comes of unexpected curveballs in life can be far better than we ever imagined. We took the opportunity during the pandemic to choose the life we wanted for ourselves, to do things differently, and embrace what felt right for us. And so Wayward Souls was born - a way for us to share the spirit of adaptability, adventure, courage, individuality, and LIFE.
So, with all that said, why wallets?
When shopping online for a new wallet, I struggled to find anything that I felt was unique and high-quality, so I decided to make my own. After months of research, I took the plunge and bought a basic set of tools and my first piece of leather and took off trying to design and craft my first wallet. It was definitely not easy, but with my wife’s continuous support and my stubbornness not to give up until I was 100% happy with what I had created, I was able to create a product that I was proud of and excited about. What started as a single wallet for myself, quickly grew when I realized there are so many other people in the same position I was – looking for a handmade, unique wallet that represents them while still using top grade materials.
Our mission is to provide our customer with unique, high-quality products that they are excited to own and that they feel represents them.
